Pure Padel - How Wattbike Enhances Padel (Case Study)

September 21, 2026 2 min read

Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, and Pure Padel Nottingham is at the forefront of the boutique club experience, offering members a premium, purpose-built environment to play.

As the club looked at how to elevate that experience further, attention turned to a part of the journey that's often overlooked: the warm-up.

The facility has installed four Wattbikes within a dedicated Warm-Up Zone, giving players a practical, purpose-built way to prepare for their game before stepping out on the court.

Padel doesn't lend itself to a traditional warm-up. Jogging on the spot or running up and down the court isn't a practical way to warm up, and neglecting a warm up entirely doesn't prepare the body for the sudden, explosive movements the game demands, increasing the risk of injury.

Wattbike solves this.

The low-impact nature of cycling makes it an ideal way to raise heart rate and activate the body ahead of a load-bearing sport like padel, without adding unnecessary strain. Players can arrive, quickly and effectively get their body ready to perform, and head straight onto court.

The result is a warm-up that's both practical and purposeful - reducing the risk of injury while improving players' readiness for on-court performance from the very first point.

For Pure Padel, the benefit goes beyond performance. The bikes add a premium, performance-led feature to the facility, and custom decals give members an on-brand experience from the moment they arrive, not just once they're on court.

Wattbike’s addition solves a very specific problem within a fast-growing sport.

Following the success of the Nottingham installation, further Wattbikes are set to be rolled out across Pure Padel sites nationwide, bringing the same practical, premium warm-up experience to players across the country.
