This calculator is designed to help you replicate your existing road bike position on the Wattbike Pro, Trainer, Nucleus, Atom or AtomX. For a complete bike fit or time trial fit please consult a professional bike fitter.
Before you start, make sure you have the following tools:
You will need to take six measurements, which will establish the x and y coordinates of the saddle and the hoods relative to the bottom bracket.
Place the bike so that the rear wheel is against a wall, or similar. Make sure it is upright and will not fall over.
Use the tape measure to identify the point where the saddle width is 80mm, and mark this with tape and a pen.
On the floor, run a tape measure from the wall to approximately the centre of the front wheel. The tape measure should be as close to the centre line as possible and in alignment with the bike. Use some tape to hold the tape measure in place, and lock the tape measure if possible.
Drop a plumb line down from the saddle at its 80mm width to the tape measure on the floor. The measurement at which the plumb line bisects the tape measure is Ax.
Measure the length of the plumb line you dropped down from the saddle at its 80mm width in the previous step. This is Ay.
Drop a plumb line down from the centre of the bottom bracket to the tape measure on the floor. The measurement at which the plumb line bisects the tape measure is Bx.
Measure the length of the plumb line you dropped down from the centre of the bottom bracket in the previous step. This is By.
Drop a plumb line down from the centre of the shifter hoods to the tape measure on the floor. The measurement at which the plumb line bisects the tape measure is Cx.
Measure the length of the plumb line you dropped down from the centre of the shifter hoods in the previous step. This is Cy.
Measure your crank length.

Loosen the saddle height lock lever, then move the seat stem up or down to the ???? position. Tighten the lock lever again, taking care not to over-tighten.
Targeted, effective training requires precise, accurate data and your Wattbike setup should be no different. Use the settings below to accurately replicate your road bike setup on your Wattbike:
